4 Reasons Why Everybody Needs a Side Hustle

This article contains affiliate links, it doesn’t cost you a dime but might help me make one!

I firmly believe that everyone needs a side hustle. Why? Why not! Each one of us has so many powerful gifts, talents, dreams and insane ideas. Why not put that insanity to good use. Your side hustle doesn’t have to make a million dollars but it can definitely make you feel like a million dollars. That is truly what’s important.

Find something that makes you feel good not just makes you a buck. You want to see that joy on someones face when they pick up the pair of earrings you made. The satisfaction when someone comes outside to see their beautifully detailed car. Also, the excitement from someone because of something you created. This is not going to be your typical list but more about experiences and possibilities.

Let’s get into the reasons why you need a side hustle.

1. You’ll Find Your People

Once you get into your craft you’ll naturally find people that do work similar to yours. You’ll find people that utilize your services or buy your products. And you’ll find people that are potential collaborators or partners. These will all be your people. They have the same passions as you do, appreciate the same things as you and will value your work. It’s a great way to form new relationships and find like minded people to surround yourself with.

2. It Could Turn into Your Forever “Job”

If you love it and you’re passionate about it, then it will never feel like work. Your commitment, consistency and drive will ensure that you are successful. Success, at the beginning, may not look the way you envision it. Sometimes that means a failure that brings you to a new and even better idea. What it becomes is entirely up to you. Your side hustle can become your main hustle. With that comes freedom and the opportunity to scale your business.

3. Passive Income is Always a Bonus

Developing a side hustle that makes money for you while you sleep is the best kind of side hustle. Especially when the dollars magically hit your bank account. Plus having multiple sources of income can help relieve financial stress, fill in the gaps or help pay down debt. It also gives you the opportunity to see where you would want to scale your business or if you even wanted too.

4. Extra Money…Duh

Pay off some bills, put a down payment on a new house, save for your kids college fund. Attention Gen X’ers this is a must, college is expensive and they’re always asking you for money. Your side hustle can fund trips with your family or help you reach the financial goal you’ve had your eye on for awhile.
